Conclusion

The authors concluded that the application of Thymuskin® is 65% effective in severe cases of alopecia areata and is not associated with adverse events as with other therapies used. In addition Thymuskin® has the added advantage that it can be applied by the patient themselves and does not require laboratory monitoring.
